Novak Djokovic wins his 25th career Masters title on Sunday night after defeating World No 16 Jo -Wilfried Tsonga to win the Shanghai Rolex Masters.
The world No 1 ended his two-week-spell in China without dropping a set and continues to dominate the tennis World as the first seed tennis player
Djokovic had previously won against World No 2 Andy Murray in the Semi-final on Saturday night and took his tally to 10 consecutive wins and 20 straight sets in Asia needing just 78 minutes to beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-2, 6-4 in the final.
The Serbian’s latest Shanghai triumph takes him to second overtaking Roger Federer in the all-time list and needing just three more wins to outstrip Rafael Nadal – who Djokovic beat in last week’s China Open final in Beijing.
Djokovic said: ‘I think in terms of the two tournaments in back to back weeks, this has been the best two weeks of my career. I think I’ve played the best tennis ever in these two weeks in terms of back to back.
‘Energy wise, I was great. I didn’t get tired, I always had plenty of intensity, concentration and a high-performance level from the first match in Beijing to today’s match.’
‘Only one set where I got a tiebreak in two weeks is quite incredible. So I’m very, very pleased with the way I’ve played. That’s something that encourages me to keep on going and hopefully maintain that high level of performance.’
