Floyd Mayweather to charge UK fans £2,000 to meet him

As retired professional boxer Floyd Mayweather is planning to visit eight United Kingdom cities in his ‘European Victory Tour’, fans would have to cough out up to £2,000 to meet the undefeated champion.

The 38-year-old who has visited Russia, India and Turkey since retiring last September after defeating Andre Berto for his 49th professional career victory said in a short video: “I cannot forget about my great fans in the UK. “The UK, the undisputed kings. See you soon.”

The tour which will take place over a two-week period will be starting next month in Cardiff — the tickets for the Cardiff and Bristol will be available for £45 a night with additional cost of £200 to take a picture with the champ.
The Cardiff and Bristol leg will be hosted by Sky Sports boxing presenter Johnny Nelson.

The Glasgow, London and Manchester shows will include a three-course dinner with tickets priced at £200, £300 and £500 respectively — to include photograph, fans will have to pay £450 in Glasgow, £600 in London and £1,000 in Manchester.

The most expensive option of the tour is the platinum package in Manchester £2,000, where fans will get an opportunity of an extended meet and greet with Mayweather in one of the suites at the Old Trafford ground.

The London show, which lasts three-and-a-half hours, will be hosted by Jonathan Ross and features a charity auction.
