Key players missing as Tottenham host City

The biggest English Premier league match of this weekend is no doubt Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City. The Citizens will be beaming with confidence when they travel to London on Sunday, having gone six games without losing this season.

Spurs have also not lost this season but they have drawn twice, placing them second behind City on the log.

In what is Spur’s toughest test so far this season, the London club will miss key players like Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Moussa Sissoko as the players fight to be fit.

“We need to assess them all in the last training session tomorrow and then see if they are ready to compete and available for Sunday,” reported Mauricio after training on Friday.

“We are very positive with some of them but we still need to assess them and see if they are in condition to play.”
Meanwhile, there was positive news on Harry Kane’s ankle injury. “The news is good on Harry, it’s (potential time sidelined) less than we expected from the beginning. The second scan was positive. He will work hard and try to be available as quickly as possible.”

If Spurs win, they will be able to reduce the point difference between them and City but if they lose, Man City will extend its lead by seven points.
