Leicester City and the Shakespearean effect

Craig Shakespeare has led Leicester City to the club’s first Premier League win in 2017. The caretaker manager had before the Monday night game against Liverpool, laid emphasis on keeping a clean sheet at the King Power stadium but the Foxes banged in three goals while conceding only once against the title contenders.

Shakespeare took over from Claudio Ranieri after Leicester sacked the Italian who led them to last season’s historic league title.

No matter how hard Ranieri tried, it did not seem as if he could motivate his boys enough to get the results but all that seemed lost under Claudio, the Foxes has started to show under Shakespeare. The club is now out of the relegation zone and goes into the coming matches with great confidence.

Vardy scored twice to give Leicester the win over Liverpool FC, in a game Danny Drinkwater also scored. Phillipe Coutinho consoled Liverpool with his 68th minute goal.
