Neymar Jr and Michael Jordan create first Nike Jordan football boot

Brazilian soccer star Neymar Jr have teamed up with Basketball legend Michael Jordan to create the first ever Nike Jordan football boot.

The stylishly created footwear is part of a unique Nike/Jordan collaboration and the Barcelona forward will be the first footballer to feature Jordan’s ‘Jumpman’ logo on his boots as he prepares to debut them at the Olympics in Rio.

The boot features both superstar’s numbers with Neymar’s number 10 and Jordan’s number 23 on it—also—there is a Brazilian flag and Neymar son’s initial DL (David Luca) branded on the boot.

The two iconic sport figures decided to work together out of mutual respect for each other and their achievements both in football and basketball.

Speaking on the partnership the former Santos attacker said: “Michael Jordan set the standard for greatness. He’s an incredible competitor and a champion. I’ve always admired him, so to collaborate with him and have his icon on my boots means a great deal to me.”

The former Chicago Bulls shooting guard was also full of admiration for Neymar and is happy with the partnership as he said: “I’m excited that Neymar and the Jordan Brand are working together.

“I’m a fan of his creativity, style and passion for the game of soccer. He’s a special player and I look forward to this collaboration.”
