Nigerian international striker Obafemi Martins has joined Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua for an undisclosed fee.
The former Inter Milan, Newcastle forward joins the Chinese Super League from MLS side Seattle Sounders where he scored 43 goals in 84 games.
The 31-year-old will team up with former Chelsea striker Demba Ba alongside Australian legend Tim Cahill at the Shanghai club.
Martins however, awaits Chinese visa to fully complete his move to China as disclosed by a close associate of the Nigerian international; “Martins is only waiting for his visa to fly out to China. “It’s a done deal and he is very excited about it.”
